Your next step, explained

Questions about joining Mave.

Can I inquire before I have an insurance license?

Yes. Tell us whether you are exploring the field or studying for your license. We can discuss the next steps for your goals. Selling or advising on insurance requires the appropriate licenses and any necessary appointments; sending an inquiry does not authorize you to start selling.

Can an experienced agent join the conversation?

Absolutely. Share the states where you are licensed, the products you focus on and what you are looking for in an agency relationship. We will discuss fit, any existing obligations and the requirements for a potential transition.

How is Mave connected to Family First Life?

Mave has a professional distribution-network connection with Family First Life. During your conversation, we can explain how that relationship may relate to your licensing, contracting and product focus. Available resources and participation requirements should be confirmed for your specific arrangement.

What training and support would be available to me?

We will talk through the guidance you need and the learning resources available for your stage and product focus. Family First Life describes life insurance training for the independent agents it works with. Ask Mave which resources you would be eligible to use and how any onboarding or ongoing support would work.

How do compensation, commissions and expenses work?

The details depend on the role, carrier, product and written agreement. Before committing, ask about commission schedules, renewals, advances, chargebacks, fees and business expenses. An inquiry is not an offer of a salary, a particular commission rate or guaranteed earnings.

Would I need to purchase leads?

Discuss prospecting options, any available lead providers, costs and applicable requirements with Mave before making a purchase. Ask who owns the customer relationship and how consent is handled. The inquiry form does not sign you up for lead purchases or paid services.

Can I work remotely or focus on Medicare?

Tell us your location, preferred working style and product interests. We will confirm what arrangements are available. Medicare work has additional training, certification, appointment and marketing requirements; a life insurance license or network affiliation alone does not establish eligibility.

What happens after I send an agent inquiry?

Mave reviews your goals, experience and licensing stage, then follows up using your selected contact method. If there is a potential fit, the next conversation covers the role and its requirements. Contracting and onboarding happen separately after the relevant details are reviewed.
